Jazz Up the Trossachs 2009 

The fourth annual Jazz and Blues Festival will take place in Callander, Aberfoyle
and Thornhill from 6pm on Friday 2nd October, through to 11pm on Sunday 4th,
October, 2009.

This year's festival will be staged at some 26 venues around the town and surrounding
areas in line with previous years. The emphasis this year will be placed on quality
performers from south of the border and also Ireland supporting the already popular
artistes from all over Scotland. We will also be heavily supporting  Homecoming
2009 by presenting pre festival events and a special event within the event.

The 2008 festival additions by way of the Jazz Parade, Jazz Cruise and particularly
the open mic and jam sessions  proved to be big hit with our festival visitors and
will be repeated again this year we also intend to have an inter denominational Jazz
Church Service at Callander Kirk.                                                                              

A number of new initiatives will be introduced for this year's festival programme
designed to create interest and participation from both local musicians and fresh new talent from across the land.

Trossachs Got Talent - A new talent search competition for musicians of all ages.    vocal or instrument/ musical style prefered.
